The Bunker
BUNKER IS FOR TEENS!
Bunker is a free program open to youth in sixth through 12th grades. It is hosted by Northwind Art, PT Artscape, and a cast of local artists and craftspeople who share their talents and skill-building exercises with young people in our community.
Program Details:
When: Fridays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM
Where: Northwind Art School, Fort Worden, Buildings 324 and 306
January schedule so far:
Jan. 3: Holiday break!
Jan. 10: Grace Black demonstrates the art of drawing dragons!
Jan. 17, 24, 31: To be announced; stay tuned!
Program Structure:
Mini Art Workshops: Each session will be centered around a specific project, with the expectation that all teen participants will be actively creating art alongside the teaching artist. We believe this collaborative approach will enhance their skills and inspire their creativity.
Open Studio: Once each month, we will host an open studio where teens can bring their works in progress or independent projects to work alongside their peers. This is a great opportunity for collaboration and feedback!
We have supplies and snacks available for teens, courtesy of PT Artscape and generous community members who have donated to make this program possible. If you would like to donate to the Bunker and to a variety of other free youth art programs, please visit ptartscape.com and follow the link to make a donation. Thank you!
